What's up y'all, my name is Steven Velez! I am the founder of Cielo Apparel, and I appreciate your business. While you are here, I will tell you a little about myself. First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and simply a young man who aspires to do God's will.

I am currently a student at Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist University) receiving theological training for ministry so that I may "be equipped for every good work." My major is in Biblical Languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek) and I am determined to put my major to use for the Church. In my church, I am given time to preach/teach every other Sunday in preparation to one day be Senior Pastor of Jesus is the Answer Church in Freeport, Tx. 

It is how I serve the Body of Christ. 

But I say this humbly, as this is only by the grace of God given to me. I simply love teaching the Bible, and do so with a highlighted awareness of its Ancient Near Eastern and Greco-Roman context. I also emphasize holiness, identity, spiritual maturity, service, etc. I stress the application and meaning of these principles within view of the larger community of believers, as this is what it is all about. There is no Christianity done alone. I created Cielo Apparel as a way to empower the Church by reminding her of her identity with unique, expressive t-shirt designs.
